Taklimat EXCOCIPTA 2024
Introduction
EXCOCIPTA represents a revitalized program achieved by the integration of three distinct initiatives: PEREKA (Invention Competition), STEMQuest Ignite: Rising Stars of STEM, and NextGen Venture: Academic Innovator. These three programs are designed to showcase and promote innovative products, not only among UMS researchers but also to encourage participation from researchers at other Public Universities (UAs) and foreign higher education institutes.
EXCOCIPTA aims to establish itself as the premier platform for researchers, fostering synergy between IPTAs and stakeholders in the production of high-quality innovation products with significant potential for commercialization.

Objectives
- To enhance the quality and visibility of innovations by UMS lecturers, staff, and students.
- To improve the marketing and commercialization of the intellectual property of UMS lecturers, staff, and students.
- To foster innovation starting at the primary school level.
- To enhance UMS's global visibility.
- To increase awareness and skills among lecturers, staff, and students in the protection and commercialization of intellectual property.
